Specifies safety requirements for recessed luminaires for use with tungsten filament, tubular fluorescent and other discharge lamps on supply voltage not exceeding 1000 V. It does not apply to air handling or liquid cooling luminaires. This document is reproduced from IEC 60598.2.2:1996 and including the IEC Amendment 1 and has been modified for Australian/New Zealand conditions.
