Description / Abstract: This standard applies to materials. constructions. and testing of multiconductor instrumentation cables rated up to and including 125 Degrees C including thermocouple extension cables. Instrumentation cables are multiconductor cables which convey low energy electrical signals (circuits which are inherently power limited) used far monitoring or con- trolling elecmcal power systems and their associated processes. Instrumentation cables convey signals from process monitors to process analyzers (usually electronic equipment) and from the analyzers to control equipment in the electric power system. Construction details and test re-quirements far cables rated above 125 Degrees C can be found in the NEMA HP-100 series of standards.
