This Standard applies to equipment designed and intended to be connected as communication terminal to a paired conductor communication network termination. It does not apply to equipment covered by IEC 62368-1. This Standard specifies the safety requirements of the interface to the paired conductor communication network only and it does not specify any other safety requirements.
