This part of IEC TS 61851-3 series (in a first step as Technical Specification for three-year period) together with part 1 of IEC TS 61851-3, applies to battery swap systems for removable RESS and/or traction-battery of light electric road vehicle for purposes of transfer electric power to it when connected to the supply network, with a rated supply voltage up to 480 V a.c. or up to 400 V d.c. and a rated output voltage up to 480 V a.c. or up to 120 V d.c where the protection against electric shocks relies on double or reinforced insulation between all a.c. and d.c. inputs and outputs..
