In the past, defined requirements for the testing of LED panels did not exist. This is why comparable product information was not available from the different manufacturers. This VDE application guide specifies the requirements for safety, EMC and method of operation to establish a uniform minimum standard for LED panels. In addition, it includes requirements for energy efficiency, lifetime, chemical nature and noise behaviour. This VDE application guide helps to compare new products and those already on the market. The safety level has been uniformly defined, too.
