This standard deals with the safety of electric shavers, hair clippers and similar appliances intended for household ans similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. Due to the fast consecutive issuing of EN 60335-2-8:2015 and its amendment EN 60335-2-8:2015/A1:2016 both standards were combined and published in this DIN EN version. IEC 60335-2-82012/A1:2015 covers a clearer definiton of battery-opperated appliances and how the should be tested.
