This standard gives guidelines on estimating the radon-222 surface exhalation rate at a given point, at the interface of the medium (soil, rock, laid building material, wall, etc.) and the atmosphere. This estimation is based on measuring the radon activity concentration emanating from surface in question and accumulated in a known useful volume in a given time.
