The purpose of the IEC 62321 series is to provide test methods that will allow the electrotechnical industry to determine the levels of certain substances of concern in electrotechnical products on a consistent global basis. The part 1 of the series contains the fundamental definitions. It details the characteristics of a sample and how a sample can be obtained, and it illustrates the test methods in a general way by means of a flow chart.
