This standard is applicable for experiments with electrical energy in lecture rooms or special areas, when there is a risk of electrical danger. The standard is only applicable for voltages up to 1000 VAC. For voltages above 1000 VAC additional requirements have to be followed (e. g. DIN EN 50191 (VDE 0104)).
