This part of the standards series deals with the general aspects for instruments designed for the measuring of radon and radon decay products. Part 2 specifies the specific requirements for radon measuring instruments, part 3 those for radon decay product measuring instruments. Future part 4 will deal with design and use of the STAR (Systems for Test Atmospheres with Radon) needed for the tests.
