This standard contains the German version of the European Standard EN 50421 with requirements related to exposure of the general public to electromagnetic fields from stand alone broadcast receivers in the frequency range 30 MHz to 40 GHz. The objective of this standard is the demonstration of compliance of this equipment with the basic restrictions (Specific Absorption Rate (SAR)) or reference levels, respectively, which are specified in the Council Recommendation 1999/519/EEC for the for safety of persons in radio-frequency electromagnetic fields. The measurement and calculation methods are described in the European Standard EN 50420 which is referenced in this standard.
