The general scope of this document is specified in DIN 27200. It applies for the procedure of software changes in accepted railway vehicles which are used on railway lines on federal territory. It does not describe the developing procedure of the manufacturer of the software and the acceptance test of surveillance authority. The main purpose of this document is the description of the procedure of software changes, which hat to be adopted to the specific requirements and to be supported by operating instructions. It is assumed that the software is safety related and under continuous maintenance.
