The general scope of this standard is specified in DIN 27200. This standard applies for automatic running braking controller (AFB) of the following styles:-AFB which has an effect only on the traction equipment (running/braking)of the traction vehicle, called speed control in the following; AFB which has an effect on the traction equipment and on one or more braking systems.The AFB function may be carried out by one or more separate devices or be an integral part of devices with other functions. Examples of braking systems are: direct braking, indirect braking, eddy-current braking.This standard applies accordingly for railway vehicles of different types
