A study is presented of balancing disinfectant residual withthe Lead and Copper Rule at Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Well sources were treated by greensand filtration, chlorine was added as a residual disinfectant in distributionsystem and no phosphate inhibitor was used, just pH adjustment. Water was purchased from New Bedford, MA, in summer periods. New Bedford used chloramines as residualdisinfectant.
