This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) and its need for water treatment operators. SCVWD's local school outreach program is presented and includes reaching into the middle/high schoolsand colleges to increase awareness.Additional outreach for the Districtincludes working with communitycolleges for interns to find/train qualifiedoperators. SCVWD's historical approach to meeting the labor gap is contrasted with its current approach that includes the operator intern program. The benefits of this approach are presented. Includes tables.
