This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief definition of water age: the time a slug of water takes to travel from the source to a specific point of use. Two methods for determining water age are presented: model - best estimate; and, tracer - direct measurement. The methodology behind tracer studies is presented, along with radionuclide tracers in aquatic systems and the measurement of flux. Includes figures.
