Project objective was to install a small package treatmentsystem in each of the eight pumping plants to treat rawColorado River (canal) water to potable standards, andconnect to each plant's existing domestic water system. System demands and water quality characteristics are presented, along with treatment and operational objectives, technology selection, disinfection byproduct (DBP) formation control, package ultrafiltration (UF) systems, and a comparison of UF membrane package systems are all presented.
