This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) isresponsible for preparing water supply plans for its district that address demands which wouldexceed available supply over the next 20 years during a 1-in-10 yeardrought. Latest supply plan indicates traditional supplies will not meetdemand over next 20 years. Supply plans have identified 1.5 bgd of alternative suppliesthat could be implemented by 2025.
