This paper reportson an assessment performed to evaluate instruments that are currently being used by waterutilities which are based on the amperometric electrochemical method. The assessment wasconducted to determine if on-line monitors being used by utilities provided data comparable todata collected by instruments that utilize the N, N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine (DPD) method, that is by the method approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
