Full Description

This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of ceramic membranes for water reuse, and a study initiated by Black 150 lmh; determining the optimal coagulant; the impact of ozone; and, testing with limited size parallel columns. The advantages of ceramic membranes are listed, along with consistent pore sizes, effect of ozone dosageon permeate flux, and the impact of ozone and hydroxyl radicalproduction with ceramics. Study conclusions indicate that: ceramic and ozone appears to be a powerfulcombination - feasible; more testing is needed to understand the advancedoxidation process and how it can be controlled andoptimized; and, the new ceramic membrane block design appears tomake ceramics more feasible than polymeric. Includes table, figures.
