Full Description
This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of potential human health hazards of disinfection byproducts (DBPs) in drinking water. Study objective was to model DBPs in distribution systems to assessenvironmental exposure of population. The methodology included four campaigns during 2005-2006 that involved 100 sample sites in 9 distribution systems monitoredseasonally.Measured compounds included:THM - Chloroform, BDCM, DBCM, bromoform;HAA - MCAA, DCAA, TCAA, MBAA, DBAA;physicochemical parameters - TC free residual chlorine,pH, conductivity, UV-254nm, turbidity, TOC. Occurrence of DBPs andmodeling DBPs for exposure assessment are presented. Presentation conclusions indicate that the environmental subject's exposure to DBPs varies according to season, nature of source and water treatment, structure of distribution system(sub-systems), andhierarchical structuredata. Includes tables, figures. Product Details
