Lessons learned include: support from stakeholders is key includingfunding organizations,state engineers, andoperational assistance staff;some systems may need one-on-oneassistance initially;keep it simple and organized withfocused questions based on experience andquestions linked to mandatory and recommendedcapacity elements for DWRF funding; and,step-by-step recommendations with associated toolsand guidance manuals.
