This powerpoint presentation begins by providing background information on the QualServe Program, a voluntarycontinuous improvement programdesigned specifically for water,wastewater and joint (water andwastewater) utilities. The two objectives of the program are very broad and include the following: to help individual utilities improve overalloperations and enhance customer satisfaction; and,create a culture of continuous improvementamong all water, wastewater and joint utilitiesthroughout North America. The presentation presents new AwwaRF Research Project Objectives for theQualServe Evaluation that include the following:critically evaluate the existing QualServeProgram;identify opportunities toenhance tools based on current standards ofpractice, improve utility awareness of and access to suchtools, andovercome barriers to utility participation in self-assessment and self-improvement activities; and lastly, evaluate delivery mechanism of selected tools tomake them more effective and more accessiblefor water utilities. The QualServeReadiness/Orientation Tool is presented as anexpansion/update to theoriginal/existing program, and is aconsensus of utilitymanagement perceptions. The previous self-assessment tool was updatedfor flexibility andcurrent practices based on a survey that pointed outareas ofindividual respondents' experience/expertise. Includes tables, figures.
