This powerpoint presentation begins by providing bulleted points on The Problem that include the following:most local governments have no ideawhat a backflow or cross connection entails, the importance of backflow assemblies, orthe financial consequences of a backflowincident; and,most politicians believe thatbackflow assemblies are architecturally unattractive, the location of the assembly is unimportant, andtheir constituents are always correct. Points are presented on getting the politicians' attention, and the causes of backflow such as backpressure and backsiphonage, along with the requirements for installing abackflow.
