The status of the Cooling Towers Program is presented, along with Conclusions: SNWA's efforts to facilitate improvements in the waterefficiency of cooling towers appears to be successful;for those properties partnering with SNWA, CR hasgone from 2.22 up to 3.45 (an improvement of 1.23);this represents an annual savings of approximately673,760 gallons for each 100 tons of cooling capacity;for the average facility visited, this equates to anaverage savings of 17,718,414 gallons annually; and, this is a 45% savings in blow-down water.
