Thismarket research project explored and analyzed customer behavior relating to landscapewater use in the residential, multi-family, commercial, industrial and institutional sectors sothat California water suppliers can develop appropriate water conservation communicationtools and strategies to reduce inefficient landscape water use practices.Funding for the project came from the United States Bureau of Reclamation's SouthernCalifornia Area Office, the California Urban Water Agencies, and the California Urban WaterConservation Council, who managed the project. The research team of the Institute ofApplied Research and Policy Analysis and the Water Resources Institute at California StateUniversity, San Bernardino was selected to carry out the project.
