This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of Union Hills Water Treatment Plant (UHWTP) located in Phoenix, Arizona. A project to optimize itscurrent processes and understand potential processlimitations so that further process upsets may beaverted is presented, and project objectives included: define operational water quality scenarios forthree plant conditions(normal - turbidity 5 NTU, stressed - turbidity = ?, andextremely stressed - turbidity = ?);evaluate current treatment process limitations; and,recommend operational strategies and processimprovements to meet water quality and demandobjectives.
