This slide presentation outlines Structured Testing as a methodology that uses standardizedprogramming and testing procedures toefficiently demonstrate compliance with Standards, andaccuracy of I/O addressing parameters from thePLC code to HMI data links prior to fieldinstallation. Testing is based upon:uniform project programming standards;clear / quantifiable test objectives; and,dynamic testing in safe, stable environments. CDM developed structuredtestingto create project efficiency for a complexcontrol system implementation, toreduce down-time, errors, and other problemsin Automation strategy implementation,to integrate into existing On-Line systems withminimal scheduled plant interruptions, and toprevent unintentional process interruptions.
