The objectives of this slide presentation were to: provide and overview of City of Hendersonand the Department of Utility Services;discuss Henderson's Utility Network(Hennet) Historian project;relate how Hennet Historian projectfits into our overall supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systemreplacement strategy;provide an overview of proof-of-conceptmethodology;describe the benefits, considerationsand challenges of using the proof-of-conceptmethodology in this project; and, discuss the proof-of-concept results. Project history consists of: current system is DEC VAX SCADAsystem implemented in 1994;historian module never met the City'sneeds;Need - Historian that can turn theSCADA data into useful information; and,currently using in-house developedOracle based application as work around. The presentation outlines the overall SCADA replacement fit, proof-of-concept phases; system parameters; TMV systems engineering; benefits; considerations; challenges; results and conclusions.
