An overview of Direct Integrity Testing defines it as a physical test applied to a membraneunit in order to identify and isolate integritybreaches.The purpose of DIT is to confirm theremoval efficiency of a membrane system ata level commensurate with the log removalcredit (LRC) awarded to the process.
