The City of Asheville, North Carolina Water Resources Department serves approximately48,000 residential, commercial, industrial and wholesale accounts in the City of Asheville andthe counties of Buncombe and Henderson in western North Carolina. The water system datesfrom the early 1900s and includes approximately 1,200 miles of pipe and three water treatmentplants.
