During full-scale water treatment at the Richard Miller Water Treatment Plant inCincinnati, Ohio this study evaluated the temporal uptake of several molecular weight ranges of natural organic matter (NOM) by two reactivated GACs and by one virgin GAC. One of the reactivated GACs had experienced 12 cycles of water treatment and thermal reactivation, whereas the other reactivated GAC had experienced 5 cycles of water treatment and thermal reactivation. The three GACs possessed very different pore structures.
