Full Description

Water consumers are becoming increasingly concerned with the quality of the water delivered by their public drinking water system. Dependence upon annual Consumer Confidence Reports or highly technical "data dumps" from water quality laboratories may not provide consumers with a viable alternative to their current (and sometimes inaccurate) sources of information. Water utilities must proactively educate and inform their customers about the quality of the water they deliver, and make water quality information accessible in a timely and meaningful manner. Tucson Water and a number of community agencies are engaged in an effort to improve an on-going Water Quality Information program. By providing information through print and electronic media, developing new educational materials and workshops, and providing access to previously under-served audiences, Tucson Water is providing additional assurance to the community that their drinking water supply is safe.
