This paper presents a brief synopsis of public involvement and information requirements for Source Water Assessments (SWA) and a number of successful watershed programs. Examples of successful approaches are presented using the Springfield, Missouri Watershed Committee of the Ozarks and elements of several states' SWAP programs. Includes 8 references.
