Three new technologies, advanced ion-exchange operations with indefinite brine recycling (AIXO-IBR), microsand assisted oxidation adsorption (MAOA), and coagulation-assisted ceramic filtration (CCF), were pilot tested for arsenic removal capabilities in Scottsdale, Arizona; Tucson, Arizona; and Billings, Montana. Preliminary design parameters and cost curves were developed based on the results of the year-long testing. In general, the capital cost of these three technologies ranges from $500,000 to $1,200,000 for a one million gallon per day (mgd) facility, excluding building and land costs, with annual operations and maintenance (O Product Details
