Full Description
This paper describes a committee called "Reuse Nevada" that was created in 1999 when a survey at the 1999 Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) conference indicated there was great interest among the professional reclaimed water users, suppliers, environmental regulators and others to further enable the productive and safe use of reclaimed water in Nevada. It has since become a major component in reuse issues for the State of Nevada. Comprised of over 125 members representing 70 organizations, the Reuse Nevada Committee has proven to be a winning combination in promoting reclaimed water as a viable water resource; working toward regulations that allow safe and commercially feasible use of reclaimed water; and increasing public awareness and understanding of reclaimed water use.
