Full Description
In September 1997, the City of San Diego's Water Reclamation Program commissioned the thirty million gallon per day (MGD) North City Water Reclamation Plant (NCWRP), and the associated recycled water transmission and distribution system. This project was the result of almost ten years of planning, negotiation, design and construction. The Recycled Water Distribution System includes approximately forty miles of pipeline, four pressure zones, two pump stations, nine pressure reducing stations and a nine million-gallon reservoir. In an effort to provide a better understanding of the program, general information regarding the City's marketing efforts, large customers, beneficial reuse study, long term goals, and new recycled water rates are discussed in this paper.
